I found a plug (NOT A CHEAT A PLUG-IN. IT SAYS SO RIGHT BY THE NAME) that lowers it to ten but there powerful so it equals out

Huh. the ships would have to be pretty damn powerful for this not to be a cheat. Each of the 10 ships would have to have the firepower and shielding of 300+ Confederation Frigates for it to 'even out'.
Face it, it's a cheat plugin and the author is lying.

A cheat is defined, by me (and mine is the one that counts), as being a plugin that alters the odds of success in favor of the player by a significant degree. That would qualify as a cheat.
Why does my definition matter more than anyone else's? Because I'm the one that moves the plugin into either the Cheats section or the Plugins section.

another way of conquering earth faster is to build up a nice fleet of kestrels, which each have two lightnings aboard, totalling 24 more fighters. not half bad for an escort fleet. of course, hiring them instead of capturing 'em isn't always the way to go, since they don't fight as hard.

I used to like capturing 'Fed cruisers for their four patrol ships (the hard part is capturing a cruiser in the first place). With enough cruisers, the combination of missiles from the patrol ships can be devestating.
