The Azdara has amazing shield recharge. Defender...doesn't.

However, the Hawk is Ťslowť: 300, therefore I prefere the Defender for manoeuvrability.

It's shield recharge doesn't plain stink, though. It beats almost every ship in the game. Besides, if you fly it right, the Defender's speed will keep it out of harm's way.
