Exactly why the battle posts get so f***ed up (excuse my language). The EV AI does not behave in any way like real life commanders would, and it is simulated in a 2D environment. When posting a battle you should ignore what the AI does in EV and think about it.

Would the story structure be similar to the way WOD was (ie a certain number of posts to create stuff) or not? I think that doing it the way that WOD was would make it work better.

i agree. WoD was good and much longer than the latest 2 EVWs. mostly it has died because interest got low(or at least for me). of coarse it may have lasted so long because it had good players. but quite simply WoD was much more sucsessful.

    • I think that the idea of writing only to attack is what has made the last two so short and disappointing. The writers seems to only see one option, which is to conquer, no more side stories inside a government, short treaties, Ťeasy battlesť (wrong english term)... Though individual posts are well developed, little possibilities come from these, as if all was already planed. No independent has formed a coalition against both the Rebellion and the Confederation.
From this, a mood of rapid individual conquest has started.

It is my opinion, but not quite false, but it was still fun to read guys.

On the other hand, if the opposition's battle tactic appears to be somewhat similar to the way the AI reacts, and in simulations the Confederation win 100% of the time out of 20 seperate battles, each time very decisively, I would assume that to mean that I'd probably win. Plus, if anyone wasn't thinking, it was them. If they just considered things, they'd have realised several pure impossibilities (like doing more damage with torpedoes than is possible with their torpedo count -- I counted all these figures).

Edit: And anyway, NPC governments obviously use AI tactics, so the battle of Lethe was perfectly fine (in fact, it was worse to my side). And that battle = no losses.
