Shade looked happily at the treasury statistics. Taxes had come in from all over the Solidarity, a total of 220 Million credits.
Keri hurried up, a sheaf of paper in her hand. "Sir, the United Democratic States has placed an order for ten Artemis - cash reserves are up 48 Million credits."
"Hmmm, that makes a total of let me see 268 Million credits. Excellent. Subtract 79.96 Million for two SCDF's for Arrakis and Nemesis respectively, bringing totals down to 188.04 Million."
With the new defence fleets organised, it was time to build a better warfleet.

15 Artemis = 60 M
10 Athena = 30.2 M
10 Kestrel = 47.9 M
84 Rapier = 19.992 M

Total = 158.092 Million

The treasury was now at 29.948 Million, where it would stay, the money being used to fund fleet activities until the next taxes came in.
The new fleet would join the much-diminished Assault Fleet in Nemesis, bringing it up to 19 Artemis, 11 Athena, 12 Kestrels, and 92 Rapiers. The replenished fleet would now be known as the Olympian Expeditionary Force, under the command of newly promoted Admiral Eileen McKenzie.

Nick didn't really care what happened to him now. The Confederation was dead, but hopefully the other players would understand that it had just been mercenary work. It was foolish, but Nick was not aware of the alliance at the time he agreed to help the Confederation. The 7 new Ares Carriers were truly magnificent. Nick ordered a firepower test on a derlict kestrel floating by. 28 torpedoes firing consecutively each of the 7 sets of 4 torpedo tubes were quite amazing to see, and Nick smiled as the kestrel disintegrated into nothingness.
