Admiral William Branson is the commander of the 1st Elite Force.

Admiral Branson was well aware of what was to happen. He was a veteran of thirty years of hard fighting, and his military performance often passed that of the most accomplished commanders. He knew that it was up to him to stop the incoming Imperial fleet, and he was well prepared to do so. Skyblade was counting on him to protect the entire Dreden war effort. Loss of this battle would have devestating results.
Branson immediately went to work on his well-planned tactics. He devided his forces into three groups, all with a excellent firepower. The two carriers were in the center group, next to the minioutpost and the planet Dreden. Half of the fighter force was involved in this center group, along with a moderate number of the new starwraith-armed destroyers. Group left consisted of a Titan Mk. II, which commanded a small number of Destroyers and large number of fighters. Group right was located behind the planet of Dreden, consisting of the same forces as group left.
The Minelayer went to work... It devided it's mines into four primary fields (whose location I shall not tell :p). 25 mines made up each of these mine fields, and they were placed in such a way as to discourage attacks from any direction. They were also placed in such a way that should the Dreden feign a retreat, they could run their enemy directly into one of these minefields. It was this time that the new mines would prove their stuff. A few hours later, the Dreden system was heavily mined. The black masses of metal, filled with huge amounts of explosives, were ready to inflict serious damage on the capital ships and fighter squadrons of the oncoming Imperial force. These magnetic and computer-programed explosives would prove a vital role.
Branson commanded the Wind of Freedom. His center group formed an inverted arrow formation, with his ship in the back of the arrow. The fleet fanned outward from the arrow point. Large fighter squadrons composed the edges of the arrow formation, and their highly-trained pilots were ready for the day they had waited for. Every fighter pilot of the Dreden defense force had the rank of Commander or higher, and had served in the Navy for twelve years or more.
Now, everything was placed exactly where it needed to be. This could possibly be a losing battle, but the Dreden were content that their hard efforts would pay off. They were depending on one another...
