With Irrakis captured, and the Alien fleets not doing anything, Admiral Mark James decided to try and takeover the Alien system of Titan 7.
Readying his fleet, and with the new reinforcements in place, the glorious 7th Fleet blasted off towards Titan 7...

Coming out of hyperspace just outside the planet, the 7th Fleet moved into a reef formation and waited for the Alien defense fleet. As the Aliens exited the atmosphere, they were instantly hit my a minefield of space bombs put in place by the Devil Ray Bombers.
As the Aliens struggled to regroup, they were hit by another wave of Swordfish and Skates, and were quickly torn apart as dozens and dozens of missiles and torpedoes hit them. As the Aliens finally managed to fire back, they were now hit with by the whole fleet. Many of them were simply engulfed by a swarms of turbolaser energy bolts, and all the capitol ships were also hit hard by Devil Rays and other, large warships.
Within just a few hours of battle, the Titan 7 defense fleet had been destroyed, and Human Confederation forces had now occupied the colony.
The Titan 7 system is now under the control of the Human Confederation, captured by Admiral Mark James
With the Titan 7 system now safely in his hands, Mark ordered that the 7th Fleet return to Irrakis to be restocked and repaired. From the battle.

Following the capture of Titan Seven and the return of Admiral James to Irrakis, Rak decided to institute Operation Alpha-Delta. The operation consisted of two components. The success of the mission hinged on the first component running smoothly. First off, Rak decided to rename the plan Operation Mortal Fear. He did so, and initiated the beginning phases. He personally oversaw the outfitting of the Alien Fighter, and once finished, personally installed the autopilot. He detested sending men to die.
Rak then ordered his fleet to travel to the Tifton system.

Immediately after entering the Tifton system, Rak watched the final burn phase of an Alien BattleCruiser and three Alien Heavy Fighters end. They immediately hailed the Cloak & Dagger, and demanded the surrended of the HC fleet. Rak surprised his entire bridge crew by saying he wanted to negotiate with the Aliens. Instantly, a message flashed in every crewmembers optical implants: We are using it as a trap. Rak told the Aliens that he was sending out a captured Alien Heavy fighter and relinquishing it to their control as an expression of well intentions.
The Heavy FighterŐs engines warmed up to full. As soon as Rak finished his statement, the dockmaster signalled the autopilot of travel to the Alien ship.

Alien commandos had the entire docking bay surrounded when the auto-piloted Alien fighter landed in the docking bay. Their commander cautiously approached the craft.
On board the Cloak & Dagger, a digital timer was counting down the time until torpedo launch. 5. 4. 3. 2. 1. Suddenly, a massive explosion rocked through the Alien BattleCruiser. A whole section of the behemoth was blown away. Instantly, all the capital ships armed with torpedoes started dumping torpedo after torpedo. The Alien BattleCruiser, with its weapons offline and its engines faltering, was utterly decimated by the torpedo surge. Its hull was ripped apart, scattering debris throughout the vacuum of space.
At the same time, squadrons of Stingrays had been unloading HALOs upon the Heavy Fighters. The Skates, under the cover of the incomming HALOs, made strafing runs on the cornered Alien Fighters. They were soon dispatched with.
Tifton captured by Fleet Admiral Alan Rak, it is now controlled by the Human Confederation.

Skyblade was staring out the viewscreen of his new flagship, the Titan Liberty. He found this ship to be much more favorable in tactical terms, but he deeply missed his friends and comrades-thousands-who had died aboard the original Battlecarrier. Deckerd himself had barely escaped the gigantic fireball of the exploding flagship, but a few empty fighters within the fighter bay had saved their lives. Skyblade again dipped his head as he thought of those who weren't so lucky... He would never learn to understand why their enemies couldn't understand the concept of freedom. War was all a game to them, and it was life and death for the Dreden.
As he ran through his thoughts, Skyblade again turned to the Dreden fleet forming in Rhansard. It was the most impressive sight he had ever seen during his military career. Hundreds of fighters buzzed about on patrol, and new capital warships were waiting to avenge their fallen friends. It was only a matter of time.
"Commander," Deckerd said as he walked into Skyblade's quarters, "The Dreden Navy commanders are all assembled and await your orders."
"Very well," Skyblade replied. "I'll be on the bridge in a few minutes."

"Azdara, Jimbob, Plute... It's good to see you've survived the last engagements with the enemy. But I can assure you, it won't be our final fight. The Empire shall soon see the unwanted spirit of revenge they've created within their foes."
After running through some discussion for a few moments, Skyblade began dividing the 17th Warfleet into brigade sections. Each of these brigades would be lead by a major commander from the Dreden Navy.
"Azdara, I'm giving you the new Verdica carrier as your flagship. Take care of it," Skyblade added with a laugh. "In addition, I'm placing two cruisers, one battlegunship, three destroyer Mk. II's, seven destroyers, forty heavy fighters, and forty interceptors under your command."
"Jimbob, the Titan will be your flagship. Two cruisers, one battlegunship, three destroyer Mk. II's, seven destroyers, twenty heavy fighters, and twenty interceptors under your command."
"Plute, your captured alien cruiser shall be your flagship. I'm placing six destroyers, fourteen heavy fighters, four gunships, nine slicers, seven alien heavy fighters, and twenty interceptors under your command."
After sharing a few opinions, Skyblade ordered to prepare the fleet for action. In the meantime, the 17th was to perform regular defense measures.

The 101st brigade exited hyperspace. There was moderate traffic within the system, probably because cargo vessels were feeling more comfortable following the alien attack on Stornik. It was the Empire's belief that the Dreden would not attack in force to the north, but they were wrong.
Plasma torpedoes sped forward, shredding the lightly-protected cargo vessels. The two or so Interceptors which escorted the freighters performed no better, in which they were caught in the huge wave of deadly firepower. The system ship numbers of hostile vessels quickly dropped from sixteen to zero.
No sooner was it over when the Imperial defense fleet stormed forward. Consisting of two cruisers, a heavy fighter and gunboat, they were confident of inflicting serious losses...
...yeah right!
For the first time, the new destroyer Mk. II's were able to prove their stuff. Three starwraith rockets shot forward, and the results were quite amazing. One of the rockets managed to blow through the alien gunboat and slam into the cruiser behind it. A violent explosian followed, severely damaging the cruiser and destroying the gunboat. Shrapnel and blast buckled the hull of the second cruiser, and another starwraith finished it off. It was all over in what seemed like a breath. The severely-damaged cruiser attempted to withdraw, but Crickets made sure that matters were secured.
Guam is now under Dreden control. 101st currently refueling and restocking ammo, awaiting the arrival of the remaining detachments composing the 17th Warfleet.

The 7th Fleet entered the Irrakis system, and looked for the 16th Fleet. It wasn't there, obvious. It was instead in Tifton system, having just captured it.
Mark James smiled, impressed with Rak's quick thinking in the assault. Looking at the tactical situation, Mark quickly saw that the HC were weak in having to defend two systems. This was easily fixed; by taking the Xerxes system.
Refueling and rearming the fleet, the admiral quickly set off again for the alien base of Xerxes. But Xerxes was important, very important; it was a major travel route to the sector that the HC controlled, and if Mark could capture it, he could make the job of defending their newly taken space a lot easier.
As the well trained and highly experienced 7th fleet jumped into the system, they immediately wasted no time and charged the planet. As Devil Ray Bombers and the rest of the HC Fighter force charged, they caught the alien defense fleet before it had even left the planet. The Stingrays took the brunt of the Alien counter-fire, for they had been placed in the front to protect the Devil Rays and Swordfish.
As the destroyers arrived and added to the immense amount of firepower being rained down on the Aliens, the two Freedom cruisers and the Skyhawk took up defensive positions that allowed them to easily protect their two Enterprise-class heavy cruisers. The Enterprise's were the key to the power of the 7th Fleet, and they couldn't risk loosing them.
Unleashing all their power on the Alien defense fleet, the 7th fleet soon turned the first wave of enemy ships into nothing but some space dust. But then the second wave came, and this wave was able to push the 7th Fleet back enough for the other waves to be launched.
The HC then formed a semicircle around the Aliens, pounding them with a massive crossfire, but getting hit hard back as well. As a wave of Devil Ray bombers hit the Aliens hard with a massive charge of space bombs, the HC then charged in on the dazed enemy ships.
Soon, the enemy defense fleet was destroyed. Quickly landing troops, Xerxes was finally in the hands of the Human Confederation, and Mark quickly called in Rak to help secure it.

As for this defection sequence your talking about, BariSax, I was unaware of the matter. Stick with whatever Mac said.

Skyblade took complete command of the 17th Warfleet, and set out for Delver. As one would suspect, matters were much better for the Dreden now that a fleet with such massive numbers invaded. There was no hope for the alien defenders...
The twenty interceptors which composed the Delver defense fleet were already deployed upon the 17th's arrival. Although unhappy that he couldn't take the advantage of surprise, Skyblade was confident this battle would be a short one. This was just too much for the Imperial defense force.
While Plute's brigade escorted the 101st brigade in a direct assault on the enemy's front lines, the 42nd took the left flank. Plute's 334th brigade took the right flank, and the attack began. Distracted by the incoming fleets of Azdara and Skyblade, the formidable force of Imperial fighters rushed directly forward. Plute's outflanking maneuver badly thrashed the enemy's left flank, crushing the small craft with his large fighter force from behind. Jimbob's own flanking route worked perfectly, having similar results to the 334th. Caught between a huge armada of an angry Dreden fleet, the Imperial defenders didn't last long. They fought bravely, but were ruthlessly torn to shreds from behind. They did manage to inflict a few losses, however.

Prepare all ships to jump.
