ok i've downloaded pog full and i've unstuffed it and ran the disk image and then I open the program and it say pog has unexpectedly quit(type 3 error), whats wrong with it.
and i've already tried allocating more memory to it.
I have an iMac and system 9. :frown:

P.S. oh yeah the same thing happens when i try to the register program

Did you copy it off the disk image? You need to copy PoG to the hard disk and then run it.

yes I have already tried to copy it to my hard drive several times
and it still does the same thing

I'm having the same problem. Downloaded the demo and increased memory allocation from 60,000 to 500,000 and still won't work. (and yes, I did copy it onto the drive).

Running iMac, System 9.

Funny though, it works on my Powerbook no problem. (Just trying to pry my daughter off my PB - she loves the game - it will probably be her birthday present if I can get it to run on her iMac).

Any suggestions out there?

hrm! What are the differences between the machine it works on and the one it doesn't? We'd really like to track down and fix this problem.

The iMac is running 9.0 and the PB is running 9.01.
(Everything is usually very stable.) (I don't upgrade my Systems unless absolutely necessary - usually creates more headaches than it solves).
Virtual memory is "on" on both, with 120M on PB and increased to 200M on the iMac.
(Both have 64 built in) Apparently have lots of free space?

Processor is 350 on iMac and 400 on PB.
Some of the extensions are different on the iMac, so I'll try turning all the extensions off - may be a conflict there (just thinking out loud).

I tried to run it over our ethernet on the iMac from the PB but got the same error.

Out of curiosity, what version of System 9 are you running? I run 9.0.4 on an iMac, and I don't have this problem.

The iMac is 9.0. (no upgrades). Had tried 9.04 but mega problems so went back. (I think, in hindsight, the problem was with Appleworks 6 which has since been trashed and I'm back to AW 5).
The PB is 9.02. (I was wrong on my previous post - had to go look).

I think the real issue with Coldstone and crashes may be the version of CarbonLib you have installed. Please download the latest version of CarbonLib here:

(She's going to have to wait for the CD for the full size version though - took 2 hours just to download the demo.)

p.s: I am running system 9.2.
