KK finally broke down and tried a plug....

After reviewing many "best plug" threads, I downloaded C&B.; It's great -- mostly because it is also loaded with difficulty. But I am having trouble on a specific mission and would appreciate any suggestions:

I've received and accepted the "Kronos" mission to capture the NPPK escorted ammo convoy near Virgo. The trouble occurs when I return to Emerald. No "agent" meets me on Emerald or in its bar. I've aborted and accepted the same mission four times now, with the same frustration. (And "Yes," I did the "first cleaning mission" thing when I started the plug.)

How many of the Confed Bulk Convoy ships did you board, KK? There should be two ships, and I'm pretty sure you have to disable and board each of them. Could that be it?

Could be ... but isn't. I disabled and boarded both of them three times. (The fourth time I - uh - failed the mission when I - er - destroyed the second bulk freighter. (Oops...))

What else have you thought of...?

were you able to fit all the cargo in your hold? i think you need like 60 tons of space, but i'm not sure.

Yes.

And I tried e-mailing Dynasys (the producers of the plug) Too. They have not responded since a week ago....

So now we're down to out-and-out guessing...You may want to try editing the mission using Schmelta-V. Change the cargo quantity on the Bulk Convoy vessels and see if that makes a difference. Or change the mission objective from boarding the ships to merely observing them (or destroying them, if you'd rather).

You may also want to consider using a different pilot file altogether. If you need a clean pilot, I can probably dig one up...

I have no idea what you are talking about. (The reason I use a MAC is rooted in my huge aversion to anything "techie". I hated the Computer classes I had (all those years ago) in school.)

The only remnents of Dyna is their stuff being available for download at this site: (url="http://"http://www.ixoft.com/")http://www.ixoft.com/(/url)

Otherwise, they don't exist anymore. Which kinda sucks because after I lost the original version long ago on some hard drive crash, I've never been able to find another. I wonder if anyone still has the original version.

This morning I received a suggestion for my problem from "Thierry" at thierry@ixoft.com. Have you tried him for the original?

BTW, Thierry's suggestions was not to refuel or save my file until I had destroyed all the NPPK forces in the mission's system. I'll try that and report back....

I encountered this problem. But I can't remember how I solved it. I believe you have to board both freighters and destroy their escorts.
