You did not come up with the idea, you did not come up with the title "MOTM", and you do not hold any copyright over this "idea". Plus, most of the EV boarders don't even visit B&B.;

You're be childish, 0ctober Fost. You are, as many people from the EVO boards put it, "doing a Rooster" - demanding credit for something where no credit is due. I'd give more details of this term, but that might overstep the line into flaming.

It's interesting to see that the B&B; horde of difficult to get on with, flame happy, karmastick happy, self impressed board members has found it's way to EV.

Look, I think there's more difference between B&B; and EV than just their subject lines. If you want to post here, act like it. Because if we went on to B&B; you'd flame us for not fitting in, and I think that works two ways.

Don't even post here if all you can post is controversial, insulting-if-not-flame, posts.

Look, the topic's already out of hand, but I just can't resist. To me, the whole idea of a MOTM topic in any board is pretty stupid, and even more so in the EV board. Pikeman posted originally not to insult ot criticize, but just becasue it seems like a post Pikey would make. It was just a silly post with no purpose.

Unfortunately, it got out of hand. People took offense, and a shouting match started. It would have been nice if people hadn't said anything in the first place, but oh well. As for the idea of the Member of the Month award, if people on the EV board want to give one out, let them. If they don't, then the topic simply would have faded into oblivion like so many other topics. No one owes anyone anything, as people have said, a member of the month award is certainly not a groundbreaking idea.

It doesn't make sense on this board either. It really has nothing to do with EV in any fashion whatsoever, and the whole topic should have just been left alone. Not to be crtical of you mod skills mikee, but you should have locked this topic instead of replying to it.

Besides, I wasn't nominated, so the whole topic was flawed from the start.

Actually, I was originally going to let akula respond, then lock it. Unfortunatly ares1 decided to troll and an argument broke out. Had I locked it, I think..
A) The issue wouldn't have been resolved
I would have been accussed by the troll as "abusing" my powers
C) It would have pissed off a lot of people who wanted to add something or defend themselves.

So far I haven't dropped anyone's karma and it hasn't gotten to out of hand. It's a hot debate, but I don't think it had reduced to a flame topic. I'd rather everyone take their aggression out on this issue here, rather than deal with this later.

Boy does this topic need locking, mikee. Now. It isn't contributing to the board and it's just pissing people off and in my opinion would be a lot more valuable if it didn't exist.
