While the board has seen a few isolated cases of spamming (I count 2 or 3 in recent days) it is typically best to warn the offenders personally and take disciplinary action instead of yelling at the board as a whole. Throwing my karma to the wind, I think I will say that Soviet Mikee has over-reacted a bit to the current situation.

I don't know about that. I've been on IRC before, but left it because the community on #ev3 just doesn't agree with me very well. It's a bit too tight-knit. While I could certainly be an IRC user if I wanted to, the community there in general just doesn't do it for me. As such, I don't think it's entirely fair to rank all IRC users over the rest of us by default.
