Hey here's an unoriginal idea. I'm sure that it has been implemented somewhere, or in several places, but what we need is a public shipyard. A compilation of as many free graphics as possible from shipyards, and allow people to submit them to be posted in the shipyard. Right now, to find things in a free shipyard, it takes a very long time to find what you are looking for, so it would be cool to have a place where people could upload things as they made them, instead of having to run their own seperate page that would be subject to downages, few updates, etc.

I guess it would be like the image forum or whatever it is called here on the boards, but it would be categorized (ships, outfits, etc), and specifically for EV(O).

This seems like something that would be best suited to (url="http://"http://www.evula.net")E V ula.net(/url). I'm not just being a stooge for (url="http://"http://www.evula.com")EVula(/url) here, but (url="http://"http://www.evula.com")his site(/url) is best set up for this type of thing. I could host such a thing, but it would be much simpler to give people their own password, or have a community thing where everyone has limited ftp access to a section (url="http://"http://www.evula.com")EVula's Lair(/url). The big requirement for that is a registered domain name, and since (url="http://"http://www.evula.com")EVula(/url) already has that and gives other people access, he's already got the mechanism set up.

Hehehe, actually, I like the idea. Thing is, I've already got a shipyard (current holds two different yards, mine and Eeun's), as well as a link page to pretty much every other shipyard out there. I would love to have them all in one place, but due to ego reasons, I'd like them all in my shipyard (although evula.com/shipyard/ is rather generic, it could be home to any number of other shipyards). Either that, or make shipyards.evula.net into a single, consolidated source that I (or someone else) could have control over.

I don't mean so much taking the contents of every major shipyard on the net as much as I mean making a webpage open for submissions. If people who ran shipyards wanted some of their work on the page - if only for publicity - then they could. I know a few people who have no websites but have some stuff to distribute, but can't. It would be a great way for "starving" artists, per se, to get some publicity. Of course no one who owns a computer and 3d modelling software is really starving, but not all artists have a website on which to post, and/or are not getting space on shipyards, because the more popular artists are getting more attention. Or something like that.

Concerning the shipyard idea, I've had that in mind for quite some time now. I'll probably have two sections on my website in the future: One for Saber Studio Expansion sets, and the other a public shipyard (where people can donate their own ship graphics / sprites etc.).
