If you really need a system opened by two VisBits, then you'll have to duplicate everything, sorry. I really don't see why you'd need to do that over having different missions set the same bit to open the systems. Corey is right you can get two.
And if you think you've got VisBit problems, you should look through the s˙st files of AI. Actually, you probably shouldn't, because it would probably destroy the mind of a newer developer, and probably a lot of experienced ones too. It's getting worse now that I'm moving beyond just adding systems at the beginning of the plug, not the game, and replacing them twice, now I have to line that up over the course of two separate storylines. Damn tricky business, but I haven't had to duplicate anything - yet.
I'll admit to having wished mightily for a second VisBit field a few times. I also can't wait to try to get the system replacement lined up across four storylines in AI2. shudder
