20 Pirate Kestrels jump into the system seeking revenge. A barrage of missiles and torpedoes fly towards Liberty Station, destroying the docks and all ships there. The resulting explosion destroys 90% of the station. The Kestrels pick up spl_cadet's escape pod and jump back out of the station. A small message buoy is released first that broadcasts the message "Nah nah! Got ya!"

What's so unrealistic about it? Missiles and torpedoes hit station destroy docks. They also destroy the ships which don't exactly have much defense going for them as they are docked. The resulting explosions would rip the station to shreds. Seems pretty realistic to me.

Liberty Station has a defense fleet. Some of the docked ships would be up and running in time to fight back. It still won't work. You can get revenge, just not by blowing up stuff with 20 warships that just materialised.

This is the way defense fleets work. Pirates jump in, alarms sound, people run to their ships, ships get armed, ships make sure they are good to go, ships undock. Meanwhile I've had a good 5-10 minutes to just launch missiles and torps. Seems like it was pretty fair. And a few measly hawks would be the only thing out there in that time frame. I don't think I have to worry about them.

Well, since everyone (including poor old Jimbob ) was docked Liberty Station, the web story here has not many players now, since they all probably died in the exploson. And it would take a lot of missles and torps to take down the Station.

Jimbob quickly unloaded his supply of food and took it to the drop off. He gladly took his 150,000 credits, and took a seat in the Spaceport Bar, looking for anyone to talk to.

The Zodiac dropped out of hyperspace. Starkiller requested landing clearance for Earth. "Please hold," the controller requested. Starkiller complied, and was given clearance a few minutes later. He landed his ship at the Athens launch pad, and headed towards the current Earth governmental capitol building. He discovered that inital conferences regarding the possible creation of a Confederation of human worlds were to start that afternoon, local time. He decided to grab a bite to eat, and entered one of the many fast food joints dotting the road from the spaceport to the capitol. He ordered a burger, fries, and a shake, and sat down to eat.
