the torp is better. if you do a spin move around it, it will turn and keep going after you. the missle just sucks and runs into too many asteroids

Well, a missile will also turn and keep going after you, and torpedoes can also slam into asteroids. Torpedoes are actually more likely to hit asteroids because of their slower speed and slower turning speed, since missiles are faster. The disadvantage of missiles, however, is their very limited range.

Yeap, and did you know that torpedoes are slower and have just as much of a chance in slamming into an asteroid? Torpedoes aren't attracted to asteroids, but their lack of speed often leads them to the same fate.

One thing, Skyblade... Asteriods only exist on the players part of the screen. If you launch a torpedo, it will soon exit the screen and be safe. Missiles will die fast, and are close rnage weapons.

Again, that still links back to the speed issue. When you consider the odds, both weapons have about the same chance of slamming into an asteroid. The lack of speed is the problem with the torpedoes, and the attraction to asteroids and possible jamming is the missiles' problem.

Although I can't get to the ship and outfit graphics for BFS III, I do plan on taking care of the maps. I've managed to find a copy of the old Milky Way galaxy graphic in psd format (and I've already got the Sentarus galaxy through), so I could manage keeping the maps updated.
This time, however, I don't plan on placing small ship icons on the map to represent fleets. Since the fleets are constantly moving (and we'll have two galaxies to worry about this time), we will simply keep the map updated by changing the color of a system once it's captured by another government. This will make it more important for members to post their location at the end of their posts.

Heh, that's pretty good. I like how you've mixed some of the EV graphics together, and the background is nice (though a little too cloudy).
You should add a few coke cans and maybe a Dr. Pepper flying around.
