      I was very, very disappointed by EVO. Its just like EV with a lamer plot, less interesting ships, and its too da*n big! You cant be loyal to a government all over the universe. I dunno, it just feels wrong. And there are little things, like too many asteroids, too many uninhabited systems, SADs and weapons like that should be available all over, but its not. The way the game is setup, you cant play all over. If you want a UE ship with UE weapons, you must stay in UE space to get those weapons.

      IMHO, It doesn't measure up to EV at all. I can only hope and pray that EVN doesn't end up that way. Probably not. At least EVN adds features, EVO was just... not cool.

      Now that's a true, loyal Escape Velocity gamer. ๐Ÿ˜‰

      Override certainly is entertaining (and many of Override engine features are helpful for developers), but I'm still offer far more support for the original.

Guess I saw it, and thought it wouldn't be interesting. I tried to figure out how to get on IRC, but those were my AOL days, and, well, I didn't know how.

      20,000 posts huh? did you notice that almost 1/4 of that could be accredited to captain skyblade ๐Ÿ˜› (i'm sure a group of his posts were on different boards too, but still). Thats an insane amount of posts, i think last time i checked on here you had about 2.5k ๐Ÿ˜›

      How do they have so many on the EVO board??? As far as I can tell EVO was just a slightly bigger, slightly better EV than ran much more slowly and cost an extra $15 for EV users. I have it and never touch it. I just can't get intersted. Maybe this is just me...

      It's not just you. Most of us regulars on the EV board are of the opinion that EV is far (or at least a little) superior to EVO. On the EVO boards though, you'll find a majority of the members hold the opposite opinion. Actually, EVO isn't bad at all, it's just... not EV.

      As for the spam, the B&B; is probably one of the most spam-free boards, actually. Our newbies are much more mature, we don't have reapeating polls, and none of that stuff.

      Hehe... 2,500 posts? That was probably around three months ago. ๐Ÿ˜‰ And yes, I've made many of my posts throughout the other Ambrosia forums, but roughly 2,000 of those have been posted here at the EV forum.

      While I believe that the Banter and Brawl is full of spamming, well over half the members who normally visit daily post there, which is why the post count climbs like a home-sick angel.

      Ya. EVO's plot leaves something to be desired, as well as the fact that to get both a good ship and good weapons, you have to go to five different parts of the all-too-big galaxy. While I know that EVN's galaxy will (I think) be even bigger, it shouldn't have this problem.
