    • Stuff-it Troubles

Uh, yeah, as much as I hate to admit it, here I am, asking for help. Okay, I recently downloaded EVula's 3D scanner plug-in (the one that makes the ship scan a 3D representation), and I tried to unstuff it, like earlier plug-ins, but it says it can't find Stuff-it. Where can I get it? Thanx for the help.

    • Hmm, that is odd. Try dragging the file onto the Expander program's icon. If that doesn't work, try opening Stuffit Expander (the app), and force it to open the file.

Keep trying, its worth it! πŸ˜‰

    • I had that same problem once. I spent hours downloading SW ANA and the EV application, only to find the same error message. You have to make sure you have the latest version of Expander available from (url="http://"http://www.aladdinsys.com/")Aladdin Systems(/url). Get the newer version, and the files should open fine!

Well, the computer doesn't know where it is, so I have a hunch that I won't be able to find it, either.

And, corey, I'd kinda like a free solution, but thanks for the last-ditch idea. πŸ™‚

      ...??

If you have Stuffit Expander installed on your hard drive, just use Sherlock (or Find File if you're using an older OS) to locate it. Start Expander, select File/Open and choose the archive you want to expand.

I could have sworn it said you had to buy it on that site. Oh well.

Anyway, EVula, I found StuffIt using Sherlock (before Phil's suggestion, I'm afraid) then unstuffed your awesome plug-in by opening the program. Then I made an alias of it and put it on my desktop, hopefully never to be lost again.

So, thanks everyone, and especially to EVula, for making such a neat little plug. πŸ˜„

P.S. That wasn't sucking up to a mod, I meant it.

Well, when you are getting that error, it isn't that it can't find the program so much, as its that it can't find a certain extension for the program that it uses that causes all file types like that to automatically open in StuffIt. I believe thats the problem; either that, or I'm just a bit off right now. Hmph.

Heh, no problem, I made that plugin so long ago, I'm glad someone is getting some use out of it. I need to get around to making one for EVO (as well as an EVO version of Black Panel).

You mean that your ego doesn't have any room left to expand anyway or it would destroy the world, right? πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜›

Referring only to your website plugging, of course, other than that text I don't know you. πŸ˜‰
