    • The next update, which will either be next month, or the one after that. I've got a lot of other obligations, though, so I'm not too sure which it will be.

No problem. Anything to get a few more people to see mine... 😉

And, since I have my own links section, you wouldn't mind if I sorta borrowed the html code for your submission form, would you? I just started on html this summer, and haven't learned forms yet.

    • I don't mind at all, just don't expect it to work. Well, it would work, but you'd be accessing a script off my server, which I'm not 100% it will work from non-EVula.com pages (server security feature). Email me, and I'll hunt around for the bit of code that emails you the results of a form (once again, if I don't have the email to remind me, I'll forget). Plus, I'm going to be moving the Lair soon, and that URL wouldn't work, not only because the script would be in a different place, but I know for a fact that it wouldn't work on other hosts.

Um, OK, I'm confused now... I did mean to modify slightly to use as a submission form on my site, so the e-mail from the form would come to me and relate to my site. Are we talking about the same thing here, or something different?

    • ah, my ISP webspace. Duh.. I always forget about it. I may take some of my own old HTML and throw up a website or something... or even just post the text files with a small index of the chapters. or something....

I submitted chapter 1 to the chronicles last night and It's not up yet. It said that they must screen it first. Aproximatly how long until it gets posted? I'm anxious to hear some comments.

Last night, eh. Well let's see here. ares1, my advice is to get a really, really, really huge cup of coffee and sit back. There's a backlog in the Chornicles and it will most likely be some time. Trust me, I know from experince of submitting, as do a few other people as well.

    • Oh. Well, maybe I will throw up a simple site for it. We need a board like this for the sole purpose of posting stories and stuff for comment. That would be cool... But I guess that that's what the chronicles are for, but those are screened before posted.

The 'screening' process isn't terribly involved—a little grammar, some formatting, checking for the odd obscenity. It's just that there are so many stories in line that it takes a long while—these days, about three months—for a story to be posted.

    • Is light swearing OK for the chronicles? Mine focuses on pirates, so I have hell and da*n and a** a couple times, but not excesively and I try to avoid it when I can.

It adds to the story and depth of the characters. Any chronicle mantainer who edits light swearing out should be shot.

Of course, sentences and sentences of curse words don't make the story any more enjoyable.

Hehe, I just had a look at the stories waiting to be added... Just the summary page, but it was 14 lines long. Legion was last. Take a couple of those cups... 😉

The email would go to you, but the script/program/whatever that processes all the information is stored on my site, which you can't access (I think). There is a way of emailing the information directly to you, which is what I need to look for.

Eh, so there's some reason pulling the html code off your page and copying, pasting, and adapting it into my site won't work for some reason?
