Hmmm, good question. Come back and tell me when you find the asnwer. 😛

Ditto. I got MAGMA from the same spot. Only it took me roughly thirty seconds to download... 😉

    • Hmm... I haven't played many EV plug-ins, but I'd have to say-

      1. Final Battle = 9.5: A few mission bugs, and the Experimental Cruiser is a bit unbalanced
      2. E2 = 9.3: Throughly enjoyable, but Weave string precludes many others
      3. GS = 8.8: Abrupt ending, Rebel Dreadnough unbuyable, and very uncoordinated mission strings
      4. Empire = 8.3: Very well made, but not much early mission diversity... Too much like FB 4.0

Speaking of Final Battle bugs, have you happened to notice the one where enemy missiles go right through your own (or even other) ships without detonating? I'm wandering if this bug only occurs on my copy or not...

Yes! Seeker drones too. Whenever I launch a decoy flare, the missiles continue straight through any ships in their way.

I guess these bugs aren't restricted to my copy after all. Perhaps I should e-mail EVula about the problem (unless he already knows about them).

I have a tough time getting the addons page to load at all , and I'm using cable, even better than DSL.

Well, he did say that every bug was fixed... and that he couldn't do anything else...

Also, when the Union is formed, I either get a public enemy or pillar of society rating in every independant station.

Finally, the last alien missions are availible in the mission computer, when they should be in the bar.

Yeah yeah, all you cable users say that! I happen to like my DSL, if only I didn't have to share it with the numerous other computers spread out across the house. Though my father is considering adding Cable on to the DSL, which would probably be the best possible thing that could happen without a $1000 month bill

I recently got into Final Battle. I have not been able to use Pale without my computer crashing. I'd say Galactic Scourge is the best. Never played Mugabi & Destiny.

    • Magma was excellent graphics-wise, but the greatest plug of all time has to be New Horizons. The idea is creative and the ships look awsome. The only problem I had with it was that there were too few missions (I beat both strings within a month and a half), but i'm going to fix that with the plug (god willing) I'm creating. 😉

    • I got into Pale today. It's awesome, but its throwing 50 plot lines at me at once and it is hard to keep up, but im enjoying it. I think the best thing about Pale is how well its written. I mean, every mission window has twice as much text as GS, and it's much more believable... My problem with GS is the poor writing in missions and stuff.

Pale has a baaad bug in it. Like 4 ships have the same graphic: The rebel striker (or something), the fast courier, the red hunter thingymabober, and a bunch of the Mod ships are the same graphic as one of the Pale warships. The target pics are all fine, but the living images of the ships on the main screen is messed up. Any suggestions?

I've been away for a while, and a while back there was a lot of talk about Final Battle: Xenocide, the seuqal to FB. What ever happened to that? Still under development?

(edit) I found out why I couldnt get magma. Its listed under EV: magma. The file is called EVmagma. I was looking under "m" instead of "e".

Simple thing, ares. I've had the same problem, but it's fixable by adding more memory to it. I currently have 55000 pumped into mine.

As for favorite plugs, I'm in dead even with E2: Dark Horizon and Pale. But I would have to go with Pale for the storyline. I use E2 to write many a things in.

      Pale is fantastic!
Try EVGE, New Horizons and GS.
I had the same problem with generic ships a few years ago when I had Virtual Memory turned on. I had set the minimum to 30000 and the preferred to 70000.
I turned VM off, with the same settings (30MBmin & 70Mb preferred) and the correct ships graphics returned.
      Go figure!
