    • New Horizons Help

Ok, i was just wondering i did the LOI string then turned on them and joined the TRDF and then after infinity destroyed them i joined the rebels and now i quite possibly have the best ship in the game (besides alien ships and event horizon) are there anymore missions after i kill the event horizon and the aliens start attacking the north???
On another note i finally decided to register.

    • Welcome to the boards, Trivium!

To the best of my knowledge, there are no plot advancing missions past that point, just the occasional defense, escort, whatever missions at the mission computer. If you want more, you can go back to the point where you joined the TRDF with a new pilot and continue working for the LOI instead. In some ways, it's actually a more rewarding storyline at the end.

    • Hmmm...ok that's what I thought, I went searching myself with EV-edit but couldn't find any. New Horizons is kind of an interesting plug for you, Macavenger, because I believe you were talking about what option you should do for your plug, new horizons semingly chose #3 to make a stalemate battle between the aliens and humans, I personally like that plug but option #4 would have been better for that plug, although it's already the biggest plug I've seen yet.
Anyway on to galactic scourge i guess.

The other problem with choice #4 in mine is that I'm not really sure the Humans completely dominating the Aliens is something I want to get into. It seems a little wrong to me, in some ways. But, given the feedback from my thread, I'm probably going to do #3 and leave options open for a sequel, or maybe #2. Nothing is final yet.

    • That's true, I haven't really encountered a plug where aliens are completly gone that I can remember, it's probably like that for a reason, but in any case I do have one suggestion: I think your plug should let us discover some alien worlds even alien tech and ships. I was delighted when i first played EVO that's there were so many aliens which were all so different. Just a suggestion.

Oh, don't worry, you will be able to get some Alien technology, and find some Alien worlds. Landing on the Alien worlds could be a problem, as by the time you find any, they probably won't be that kindly disposed toward you. 😉 However, there probably won't be that much dofferece between the EV Aliens you know and the ones that will be in the plug. I'm staying true to the general plot of the game for the most part, just expanding on it.

    • I'm just wondering how could we get alien tech without going to their planets? Or perhaps you don't wanna reveal too much...

    • So that means that if you start a new pilot file for the plug, you'll have to do all of the rebel/ confed missions all over again?

Yes. The plug should work fine with a pilot file that has completed the main mission sets for the Rebels or Confeds, though you won't quite get the entire flavor, I've edited a couple of descriptions in the Alien sets for the two governments. The ideal place to start is with a pilot that's just starting the Alien string for whichever government you want. Since you know that in advance, you could get a pilot file set up now, and wait for the plug. I'm hoping it will be out in the next couple weeks, but if not, you may be waiting a while, because then school starts.
