Insano, who purposely stayed somewhat sober so he could win, challenges all of the other drunk people in the bar to a game of spoons. He's pretty confident he's gonna win.

David is a Confederate, yes, which you would know all too well if you read the battle for sol web story. He has so much karma because he's probably the most intelligent person on the boards, and quite helpful too.

So Macavenger charges Insano, pulls out his Tritanium dueling spoon again and starts beating poor Insano.

Insano runs and runs and runs. He tries to throw spoons over his head but fails miserably. He then crawls into his Rapier and covers his head. Then he says over the com, "Don't make me use my proton cannons."

Macavenger can never be too drunk to realize he's been threatened and to respond accordingly. So naturally, he runs away from the Rapier. As might not occur to many people when they are drunk, but comes as a matter of course to him of responding to being threatened, he calls the R.S.S. Annihilatro and tells them to send out the Mantas, which level Insano's Rapier in a massive air strike, leaving a crater in the ground. Fortunately, Insano had an escape pod with auto eject, so he survived, but the Rapier was a loss.

If you took off in there somewhere let me know, but hiding your head under your hands in the cockpit doesn't seem conducive to getting away.

Hey, wasn't that a single post battle Macavenger? Oh, well. Let's revise that a little. Insano uses his cloaking device so that the mantas can't see him. When they go away he decloaks and goes inside to watch the super bowl.

Macavenger runs back, hammers an unsuspecting Insano over the back of the head with his spoon "That's for threatening me," and starts hoarding the Free Pizza, and starts rooting for the San Francisco 49ers, who have made the Super Bowl for the 2,482nd straight year.

Insano lies unconcious and someone (Macavenger) grabs credits out of his pocket. Macavenger then tells everyone that Insano bet on the team losing very badly. Then, Insano comes to just as the team losing very badly wins. He then wins many, many credits. Please, dont' bug me about the single post battle. I need a win every now and then.

Hey, I specifically left a loophole for you, but I get to bust your anyway.
The 49ers have been crushing the team from Antares the whole game, and their big comeback effort fails, so the 49ers win for the 529th straight time. Macavenger, feeling very happy, returns most of Insano's money to him in the form of buying drinks for everyone. Then, while they are all distracted with their drinks, Macavenger takes advantage by eating all of the remaining Pepperoni Pizza.

Insano goes and buys the team from antares. He then fires the coach and hires a new one. The new coach does much better than the old one, so, come next super bowl this one will be much closer.

I just finished HHGTTG, really good. Is the restaurant at the end of the universe the next one?

Yes. It's convenient when you have all of them in one nice neat volume like I have, you never have to guess which one comes next. I'm getting close to done with Life, the Universe, and Everything now.

I think I've seen that in a sig on here before, but didn't know what it was referring to until today. Antares 42 on the Nova board, maybe?

Macavenger takes off in one of his Mantas, and flies to the hotel where the Antares team is staying, and blows it up with a pair of Missiles. The team loses its new coach and all it's star players in the "fire sale." Next year will not be so good, and Insano will probably lose a lot of money, since he owns the team. Macavenger tells him if he wants to get out now, he'll take the team from Insano if Insano will pay him 50 million credits.
