As the saying goes, "Nothing ventured, nothing gained." Try boarding them to see. But be aware, that just as in RL, things are not always how they appear to be....

If they ask you to save them they are a lure if not then they are disabled, and by all means board em.

'Tis true! But, if memory serves, the lure only brings in Lightnings & Rapiers. It's fun crippling those little pirates.

Yes, but if you avoid all nasty situations when you're in a crappy ship it's hard to judge what the combo of your piloting skill & a 'crappy' ship can really do. :eek:

When I have the ship to handle it, I always like to board those pirate ships intended to trap you. I do remember, however, first boarding a lure ship in a shuttle craft years ago. I didn't last long.

Oh, believe me...I learned well from my first experience.

The next time I boarded the lure argosy, I was flying a Rebel Destroyer. This time, it was the pirates who didn't last long...

Even now in a Reb Cruiser I still run away when I board the lure, it must of left an emotional scar from the first time. :frown:
