hey what i've been doing for my escorts is.. I outfit my cruiser accordingly, capture a weak ship as mine, then my cruiser is an secort. I keep doing that 'till I have enough cruiser escorts. It costs a lot of money though.

I used to to do that but later found out that when your ship becomes an escourt it returnes to the way it used to be when you bought it.

Either use edit to expand a post, or use a "Rebel Council Away" system with an
unregisted person.And continuing about escorts - like other people have said there's no fun in
watching your escorts or fighters blow things up. The real challenge - the real
thing to be proud of - is the full knowledge that when to hyperspace into a system

Well, i have one pilot that I play sometimes, it's sort of easy to play though, not much fun, I use other ones when I actually want to try. But my invincible pilot is in a Rebel Cruiser fully decked of course and my escorts are 3 stolen Rebel Cruisers (i worked really hard to get the rebels to like me after that) and three Confed cruisers (I just took over the systems that hated me
) And taking over systems with escorts is easy as all heck. As long as you have the cloaking device, all you do is demand tribute, cloak, and let your escorts rip them apart. The AI of all enemy ships coming off of a planet or station is only programmed to attack you, so if you are not there, they sit there are get pummelled by your escorts lasers, and then, by golly, they send out the next lemming to get blasted into a million particles over half-a-thousands parsecs! wait for a couple mins, and they will agree to pay tribute. It's great fun!------------------
