Hehe...The executive transport is one of my favorite ships when it comes to looks. If only it were better protected, I would fly it constantly. It reminds me of a modern-day Lear jet. Sure, I can use the executive transport design, but I'm just worried that if I use too many of the ship designs of Escape Velocity, users of "The Dreden War" may send me plenty of complaints...

Once I had a plug-in that turned the Excutive Transport into a good ship with 4 lightnings.

Are we talking about the ship graphics, or the ship's stats?
If you are just talking about Graphics, Rebel Destroyer. Best looking ship out of EV and EVO.
If you are talking about the whole ship (graphics and specs), Kestrel. Easily the most versatile ship, and quite powerful too.

How about bringing all the Rebel ships back in (exept the manta)(with diferent colours and stats. and they would iook a little different)
Say the Dreden fource found an acient ship with the desingns of the Rebel ships.
After hundreds of years of floating in space the Dredans stumbled upon it. Started mass producing them, than the empire stole one of the designs and started produsing. So the Dreds have one of the ships and the empire has the other one.

how 'bout a mix of the manta and an azdara(evo) a reb cruiser would be cool too. maybe an upgraded defender, like triple the shields(if its would be imperial) and the guns, like one more. lower the speed a little. oh i created my own ship called the enforcer, though i dont have a scanner or any drawing program on this computer.maybe add a fed gunboat, just change the color.

You've got a good idea, but remember that the "Dreden War" plugin is based on the Override storyline. Dreden itself was founded by the retired United Earth Admiral of the fourth fleet, Vance Dreden. As for your question Battle Doctor, I'm looking for the actual ship graphics and designs, not stats. I plan on using the design of some EV ships that the members here like best, then make a ship somewhat resembling the designs in Escape Velocity. I already have a ship that resembles the Manta, and now I'm thinking about using the the Lightning and Hawk design...I'll probably rename the Hawk "Skyhawk."

I vote the hawk. I like the look of it, it is the very icon of EV, and not a bad ship for its price.

I notice every ship in the plug costs 200,000 and up. What do poor players fly, or will money be plentiful?

I will probably use the Hawk design for sure, so keep your hopes up.

Actually, all the ships so far for "The Dreden War" are 200,000 credits or more. (Interesting...It was intentional) But I could make some ship as "powerful" as a Krait, thus enabling the player to purchase a cheap, fast ship.

I truely like the defender design, but the ship just plane sucks. I like the U shape of the hull surrounding lasers. Those lasers should be turned into.... missiles. That would be interesting. It would be a run by shooting. "Huh, where'd he go?" Ok enough of my ideas.

Corvette would bo cool to seea new design based on(its a versatile ship, so it would make sense). The destroyer is already based on the argosy, so i dont recommend that, and please dont do the kestrel(im working on a plugin with a new kestrel)

Rapiers are the best looking fighters without a doubt. Put them in, and the rebel destroyer, but maybe make it available to civilians (if this plug-in was in a different storylione to the civil war, or after the end of the war)? That would be great! Or how about porting over the argosy, and offering a warship upgrade, emalghia style! But please, no wood. Just guns. Lots of guns.

Corvette. In EV it was a good intermediate between the cheap ships and the Kestrel/whatever. You could complete the game with it too.

you could complete the game in a clipper. i did. the clipper is cool, maybe make the blue like a shiny dark blue, and the gray, you could makr it black. that would look pretty cool.
