Okay, I recently started looking again at EV and I decided to join the Rebellion (AGAIN, rebels rule!). However I can't get the tractor beam. Please tell me where to get the mission to get, DON'T tell me how to do it, I can guess my way through it.

You get the tractor beam from the confeds(the demon spawn of space). I've only been able the get it once out of maybe twenty games.

Download the Galactic Scourge plug-in and hang out on Earth. You'll get a mission "capture Hector". You have to capture cap'n Hector (but his ship is then named 'hraghli warship') and bring him to Mars. Then, you'll get a tractor beam.

Once you get the tractor beam, be sure not to fire it unless you are shooting an enemy. People don't like being put in a tractor lock for some reason...

Where exactly can you find the tractor beam missions?

why the tractor beam, anyway? its much easier to just unload all your secondary weapons (unless there is another use besides holding the enemy ship)

You can find the starting mission in the bar of Palshife. The mission will not come up every time, so visit the planet often and look at the bar.

the mission goes on for awhile. wait, did you do the one where their is a new 'fed base beyond sirill, 'cos the missions continues from that. but you do get the mission on palshife.

Yeah, I think I got it once, but then I failed it, so now I'm spending a lot of my time in and around Satori. It's wonderful when cost isn't an issue!

Actually you use it to capture more than 2 Lightning escorts with a Kestrel or sell the extras off of anything without a 'bay. Also holds various ships <Aliens> in pace with a slow ship

I heard about getting more than 2 lightning escorts with a Kestral, but how do you do it with a tractor beam?
