id go with rebel, but the confed allows the slow mooving cow(fed cruiser). Rebel ships are faster, but the cruiser is a little weaker. On the other hand why dont you DO BOTH!!!!!!
accept the fed or rebel recruit mission, then accept the other one without completing the other, then you have started both strings.

In case any of you are having trouble grasping this concept (which I guess is okay, although I caught on) the way I undertand this is he wants US to post newbie questions we constantly see and dislike, and followed that with his own question he see's a lot, rather than simply explaining what his topic was itself.
No explanation, just an example.
