    • Cargo Pods

I'm new to EV, and all i have right now is a highly upgraded argosy and 2 mil. credits. Also, i have 2 cargo pods that i want to get rid of, but i cant, and i don't feel like buying and upgrading another ship. Any suggestions would be hot.

    • There has to be somewhere that you can dispose of your unwanted pods.
      A backwater system, perhaps?

Other than that, I can't help you.

    • The availability level of the cargo pod is 2, which means it's a low-tech item available on many worlds. You should be able to sell the pod back to the outfitter on any planet, moon, or system where the pod can be purchased. I know that you can't "sell back" thrust or RCS upgrades, but I don't think that you should have that problem with the pod

    • unfortunatley, you can not sell back cargo pods, mass expansions, or any of the three engine upgrades. they are permanent modifications to your ship.

    • I think that you should be able to sell those things back, but unfortunately you can't.

    • Rawzer: Bummer! Sorry about my bad advice, too

If you don't want to purchase another ship perhaps you could just up and capture one, depending on your combat skills. You'd still have to tailor it with the proper outfits, of course, which would cost money.

    • if you want the weapon space back, then you might want to buy a couple of mass expansions; lose 15 tons of cargo space but gain 10 tons of wepon space. On an argosy you could get a few in. However, since you've got 2 million credits, might I suggest a switch to a Corvette. For 2.4million, sir gets heavy rockets and missiles, two turrets, good shielding and armour and a javelin pod. Sell all the weaponary and buy in 2 proton turrets, a torpedo launcher, all 3 armour layers, 4 shield capacitors and a load of torpedoes, and sir has quite a flying fortress. But you'll need 2 mass expansions and about 2million on top of the 2.5million credits for the ship to get it all in. But trust me, it's worth it. Oh, and don't forget the missile jammer and the RCS/Acceleration/Speed upgrades. Outrun missiles, patrol ships, anything!

    • My advice: buy the Corvette. The most highly tricked-out argosy (expansions, upgrades, shields, armor) has the performance of a baseline Corvette. (I know, I've checked)

Now a Corvette can be upgraded to the ultimate warfighting, trading and fun spacefaring machine. Better than that lame joke "formerly known as" the Kestrel. Lose the missiles and javelins, buy torpedoes, upgrades, and shields, and do the Skunk Challenge.
