    • Two Questions

First: I've decided to get back to EV after totally giving myself over to EVO. However, I'm totally put out by the PAINFULLY slow (as measured in real time) hyperspace jump speed in EV. Is there a plug-in that will speed up the jumps in EV, like the Lightning Jump plug from EVO? And if so, is the link on the plug-in page working? Several links there are broken, including some that seem to indicate plugs that might do what I'm looking for. Maybe I'm just spoiled by EVO (even more so by Lightning Jump), but this cuts down SO much on the time wasted when traveling from one end of the galaxy to another. Any help would be appreciated.

Second: I want the plugin "The Final Battle." It was my favorite back when I played EV. However, when I tried to download it from the plug-in page, there was something wrong with the compressed file, and it would not expand. If anyone could help me out with this, I would appreciate it greatly.

    • In my EV Plug-Ins folder, I most always have a plug in it called EV Lightning Jump.
I also have one for EV. When I looked at them the were identical. I have no idea where I got these, but if you have one for EVO I would duplicate the file and then make the duplicate into a EV Plug-in by changing the Type to Mpďf and the Creator to Mërc in ResEdit.

Hope this helps you out a bit. 😉

    • I had the same problem with decompressing files. I went and downloaded the most recent edition of StuffIt, and bingo, problem solved.

    • If you download the most recent type of stuff-it (6.0) it will work, plus its free :). But you can also get it from the creators website. It's the same person who did bounty hunter plus. I forget the website though just download Bounty Hunter Plus and they'll have a link in the readme which will bring you there.
