    • Open-sourcing EV?

I was reading some posts about reasons why Ambrosia isn't going to port EV to other platforms, and they basically say that Ambrosia won't, because they don't have the resources or the know-how. What I think makes sense would be if they released EV's source code so that others could port it.

And they really shouldn't worry about their prog. being undermined by a freeware program because most people will buy from the mother company with lots of resources.

Well that's my ˘2, if anybody see's any problem with it please reply.

    • Ambrosia is strongly committed to being Mac-only. They have not, are not, and will not allow one of their games to be ported to a pee-cee.

    • Huh?

In their description of Ragnarok at http://www.ambrosiasw.com/news/upcoming they say that it'll support both the mac and windows. That doesn't REALLY sound like a commited mac-only company. 😄

    • The EV source code is currently controlled by the programmer who developed EV, Matt Burch.

No, he is not going to open-source it any time soon.
