Please excuse me for what sounds like a stupid question, but could anyone tell me what the heck the Monty Python Manoeuvre is? It sounds like it has nothing to do with Monty Python. Also, it seems like a lot of people think it's cheating. What is it (not if it's cheating or not, but how do you perform it)?

the manuvere is simply letting the ship use its long-range weaponry having follow you but u stay just ahead of its fire while you fire back. you have probaly done it i know many other people have. just match the course and speed and fire at the damn thing

Yeah, but I meant the maneuvre in general. Hell, if the AI is improved, we might find that AI controlled ships try to Monty us!

heh, that would be a change. This manuever is not a cheat. It is just thinking. You have the ability to think, so why not use it?

Maybe they should incorporate part of the Ares AI into it. I've had Gaitori ships do it to me. Pisses me off, too.
