I hate it that escorts just shoot at every thing that's hostile to you.And when you thell them to reaturn to formation, they do that, then a few seconds later, there killing again! Why can't they be like fighters, where you can lead them to a spesific target? And I don't like the 6 escort limit. There should be a 32 limit or more! And there should be a time where you meet your fired escorts! Can anyone make a plugin like that? Or will it take up to muck memory?

This is programmed into the game. You can't order escorts to engage certain targets. Only tell them to Hold position, and return to formation. The 6 escort limit is fine if you have the right ships. I, myself go with 6 cruisers, and myself as a cruiser. now that is 7 ships, pluse 4 fighters each :). Or you a cruiser and 6 rebel destroyers. No one can make a plugin, unless they make one were you get 32 free escorts. but then the game is no fun cause there arn't anyships.

I usually hire one escort, go out from the planet (you have it targetted when you depart from the planet you hired it on), release it and then disable it.. If youre lucky, you get escorts for free....Without paying anything...Neat,huh..

The escort behavior and the number of escorts are built into the game: they cannot be changed with plugs, you will just have to deal with it. If you do not want your escorts to attack, use the 'hold' command (default is 'V' key.) If you want more than 6 escorts, you will have to hire or capture ships with fighters - you could get up to 30 escorts that way in standard EV.

Speaking of escorts, have you noticed that in EVO 1.02 your escorts will fight much more enthusiastically, than in any other version. You can take some combination of 6 aradas, laziras, or crescent warships to a renegade world, and they will cheerfully dominate it for you, whilst you fly around avoiding serious damage.
