I'm many hours into EVGE and have some questions..

I've completed a Polaris mission, the one where u get to kill the Confed Navy Base near the Wescoe system.. I now can buy Polaris ships like the Dragon Frigate, Heavy Cruiser and Puma Destroyer (which i use now)
I think there are more Polaris missions right? How to get them?

I like the Bird of Prey and Proxima Destroyer very much... very powerful cannons.. is there a way to buy the ships, other than to disable and capture one??

Is it possible to buy Orion ships? The other ship that is very kewl is the Galaxy Destroyer! Oh my..

One last one- is anyone keeping stats, but i spent more than half an hour dodging torpedoes and missiles form that Confed Navy Base. How many of those things does it have anyway??!

Just hang around Polaris space, blow up some pirates occasionally, and they'll appear. An event of galactic significance doesn't happen every day, you know.

Um, it's not possible to disable them. They don't have armor. Whether you cheated or not isn't the matter, but yes, it is possible to get them. There's a mission where you work for their government, and it's very, very difficult to get that mission. If you really want to find out, you can ask.

Of course. You'll need to join the Orion Union though, which might be slightly difficult since you've already joined the Polaris Alliance. It's possible though.

As for the other Polaris missions, it's a little irritating, cos I've really been hanging around Polaris space, slaughtering Pirates as well as any Confeds I see.. In fact, I'm a Role Model in most of the Polaris systems now....

To get the Proxima missions, you have to rescue the crew of a disabled Bird of Prey in the Talaria (or next door in the Andwaffa ?) system. I've heard that the disabled B of P appears about 1 % of the time. In my experience, thats seems to be overly optimistic. Go to Talaria and land on the planet. Then take off and click through the ships in the system and if its not there, land and repeat. Sooner or later (probably later) it will appear. After you rescue the crew, be sure to kill all of the pirates in the system, otherwise when you get to Proxima with the rescued crew, no welcoming committee will show up.
