Having read through the previous posts i havn't come across my problem.
I used interNARC on one of my saved games and now every time I start playing the game hasn't been saved. I know that interNARC isn't a amborsia product but the same problem occurs when I duplicate a saved game.
I only do that to have a go at a whacky idea, like hacking the Uplink Internal Sevices Machine.

Do not put the duplicated user in the same folder as the one you duplicated, it wont save.

I have experienced different. If I make a copy of my agent file and name it, say "Bank job Connor.usr", and keep it in the user directory, it shows up on my Agent list, BUT - any saves made from that character save back into the original Connor.usr file. So it's just like being able to load a game from a point you want to keep safe.
