Does everybody know the gateway that says that you cant be caught by it because it runs from a remote modem. Well I have found that you can be traced through both the silent and passive traces. I haven't found any really reason for buying that gateway if it doesn't work.

Also i have heard a lot of people say that you aren't supposed to be able to buy more than the first two gateways on the unregistered version, I'm not sure if it is just the PC version that that is for because my friend as the unregistered version of Uplink and cant get more than the first 2 gateways. But I'm on the mac version which in unregistered and I can get the first 5 or 6, I cant remeber off the top of my head. Is it supposed to be like this or is a fualt in my version which is 1.3.3.

We know about the gateway that says you can't get caught with it, but you still do. I believe that they decided that it was unfair for there to be a relatively cheap gateway that was totally untraceable, so in one of the updates they changed the gateway, but not the description. And there are differences between Mac and PC versions, I guess this is one of them.
