I have been playing the demo (MAC) version for the last few days and now my full version has been received. I am loathe to install this as I am not sure how to retain my ratings, finance, equipment etc. I do not really want to start all over again.

Any advice to get around this would be most appreciated.

I'm not too familiar with the demo version. If you had used the shareware version to begin with and simply bought a code from Ambrosia, there would be no need to do anything but enter your code.

With the demo, I suppose you could try just moving over your options and user files.

Thanks for all the advice. I installed the full version and decided to start from scratch to benefit from all the functionality as sugested. Unfortunately I am broke (back to square 1) and need to finish off some missions to collect the funds!!! Have to go Xmas shopping for better equipment....
