    • Feel stupid - how do I buy software?

      I guess this must be obvious, but I can't find the software store in the game. How do I access it?

      Couldn't find this info in a FAQ or by searching previous posts...

      Don't sweat it too much; you might have mistakenly disabled the beginning tutorial.

      Just find your way over to Uplink Internal Services System (you can go directly there without fear of tracing... unless you try to crack into the admin part.) Do that via the map or your gateway listing of IP addresses and such.

      Your login should be available automatically under the entry box; click on it and enter the main screen.

      Then, just click on the "Software Upgrades" box. It's more or less intuitive from there. Software is instantly shipped over to you, unlike hardware.

      (and, assuming the tutorial is still on your gateway machine, just run it again--hover over the big lower-left box, over 'other' and click on Tutorial 1.0. I think.)
