    • Lan HELP PLEASE!!!

      Im running uplink on a 500mhz g4 on mac0sx 10.2.6 and every time i connect to a lan uplink just beggin type de number and when im finaly conecting it just quit no error no nothing i tried almost everything but the same problem i even isntalled de same uplink on another machine and it happens the same... any idea?? please help me.....

      Let me get this straight ... This happens only when you are hacking a LAN? When you get crashed out of Uplink, what do you do? Reboot? Retry? Does this happen =every= time you hack a LAN or just sometimes?

      Uplink crashes on me when I begin a LAN hack about 1/3 of the time. It happens after I have put the bypasses in place and have switched to LAN view. I think I get a glimpse of the hub but don't get a chance to run LANscan before it. It happens both when connecting to a url or to a LAN phone.

      Most of the time, if I reload Uplink, and go right back to the same spot, it lets me in. I don't need to reboot or anything like that. It's annoying though because you lose your admin voice (if you've captured ne), and your saved map, and have to restart tracetracker and any security software you have. Not to mention the wasted time.

      LANs were one of the last things they (introversion) added to the game and they are rather buggy.
