Good question.

The downloaded file has the name : uplinkthemod_mac_1.tar.bz2 which I can open with stuffitj.

But what I get is three empty files with odd names (one is ŠX‹X  ) plus two directories containing files "data" (.txt files) and "graphics" (.tif files).

The files look potentially useful, but it isn't obvious what to do with them.

I had the same problem. Acting on a hunch, I tried expanding the archive with Expander on a machine running OS 9.0, instead of 10.2, which I normally use. It seemed to work, I got five folders (data, sounds, music, graphics, mod) and a Read me.

I've never seen something like this, where an archive couldn't be opened properly on OS X, but I'm guessing that maybe it's becaise it's a .tar (in fact, it has the extension twice) and for some reason, OS X, being fussy about extensions, doesn't like it.

It would probably be best to make a .sit of the files, but in the meantime, opening it in an OS 9 version of Expander should do the trick.

Sorry about the problems, I'm not a mac user myself so I naively assumed it would work...the download on the site is now a .sit, thanks very much to DoctorW for helping making it for me and for the help!

Has anyone noticed that the Gateway parts don't line up with the image of the gateway? Also, why was I able to get the file server with a new agent for -250c?
