I don't believe so. Now that I think of it, I bet if you got them killed (say they were an Uplink Agent and you did a particular secret mission and they ended up killed) it wouldn't. Introversion seems to have ignored details, such as putting the Top Agent in jail. But then, he sends out messages to the Uplink community, and is murdered. How does that work?! (I've done this, just today. It confused me, I read that there was a different way to start the storyline involving "what if the Top Agent couldn't write the e-mail?", but it didn't work. poop.) you can have people arrested in raids twice in one day, stuff like that.
Bottom line, I don't think so. Introversion probably made the game thinking only of that method being "strong" enough.

Aight, this doesn't seem to work for me. I sent 27 hackers working for Uplink to jail (they all showed up on the News) and allowed myself to be captured so I could see my score so far. It said I had ruined the lives of 0 people. Is there someithing else you have to do?
