So, when you click on a mission to do a job, there's a contact button. When you click on it, you get given all these scintillating conversation pieces, such as "I want more money". Do they ever reveal who the target is, or "why so much money"?

When you become a higher ranking they'll usually tell you, as this can make the job more/less difficult depending on that companies defense measures (if you have a link, you can IP probe them while talking to the guy...). However, at lower levels it doesn't really matter.

Sometimes when asking why so much money, they will tell you that the security will be high, and usually what kind of systems they have. Also, when asking who the target it, when it is a server, they will name it.

When you think a little, yeah, they aren't funny. It just logic, the computer display this text when you click on that button if the player has a certain ranking.
