I am seeing a crash everytime I attempt to connect to any server in the game, even as a brand new user. The repro is: 1) I click the link to dial into the server; 2) Login screen comes up for server; 3) Clicking anywhere on User/PW or Known Accounts crashes the game back to the desktop.

My setup is a TiBook 1ghz, 1gb RAM, all USB devices unplugged, Airport/Ethernet turned off/unplugged.

Has anybody seen similar behaviour and know of a workaround? I have already reinstalled twice from separate downloads and still no joy. Thanks in advance.

Seemed to have answered my own question. If anyone else encounters this here is what fixed it for me: Uplink does not seem to like special characters (_+=(), etc.) in the username or password. Go figure. A hacker game that bombs on strong passwords.
