G'day from New Zealand,
I've just bought my registration for Uplink and have being playing a while now. But I have a problem....
I'm meant to be crashing a server, the mission says by multiple resets or a virus.
Seeing as I missed out picking up the Revelation from ARC, I don't have a virus to use!
What do I do?

Really, what you have to do is delete both the files in the file server part of the system, and the operating system itself and then shut the computer down. That way the owners can't restore the files at all. (Haven't these people heard of backups?! ;)) So, what you need to do is hack in, disable/bypass any security software, enter the console and type in and execute the following commands:
cd usr
delete
cd sys
delete
shutdown
Then all you have to do is cover your tracks and wait a couple of game-hours until your hack make the news. Then reply to the mission to get your pay.

You can also type
cd log
delete
to delete all the logs. It makes no difference, and one disconnect log will be left behind, but the mission does say to delete everything , so why not?
