You'll be blown out of the water by this fantastic site. It is pretty much complete, all that remains is text for two pages. Well, a lot of text for two pages. But I really only have to finish E:X. If I work hard a few weekends and have relatively little work, E:X should be out for May Day.

The upcoming beta will not be a particularly rushed one. However, I would like it if you could be very picky, don't just complain about fatal bugs, but rather any bug: graphical, conversational, spelling error, whatever. Your complaints are very welcome. Hopefully I will e-mail you the stuff (you know the routine) sometime in February. I'll be sure to keep you posted.

I just fixed MMT's Background, yet I have no idea what was causing it. Well, at least it's fixed. MMT needs a little more beautifying. Addition of some BG Tiles and smoothation of tiles.
Still need to make Light Maps for almost ever level. Began redrawing L'Enfer Congele. I am debating whether to release it with E:X. I think I will, a matter of fact, I am leaning towards releasing E:X quite a ways away. On the other hand, if I release it soon... ::goes off to argue with self, and have a deep discussion on options, with self::

Ent - you WANT me to be picky?

Apparently (according to a particular adolescent in the household) I am extremely picky. All the time. It never ends. I say "if I didn't have to PICK UP your clothes and books and stuff from all over the house, I wouldn't be so picky." Sorry, just had a parental moment. All courtesy of the word "picky".

Personally, I consider myself fairly easy going, but, send me the beta whenever it's ready and I'll make an exception for you and will TRY to be picky.

I am getting really... mad at Lightmaps. They don't seem to be working well at all. Have others had these problems? I have decided to go back and replay all of Ben's levels and see what I think, I need a break from E:X.

I have been and will continue to be very busy for the next few months. I think I need to assess my E:X plans. I am going to overlook all my levels and decide how much I need to finish before releasing.

Question:
How many new levels does a new release need?

Right now I have three levels done. I think I am going to wait and make another three levels, maybe four. That would mean I would work on:
L' Enfer Congele - hurts to think about
The Wall - going to be fun to make
Illusion of Reality - tough to make, but lots of fun
Tower of Perplexity - I am not, as of yet, to worried about this level, but it will have a boss so maybe Is should be more concerned.

I think I will do that, meaning that when I release the next E:X, sometime in the Summer, it will have 7 new levels with a total of 14 levels, not quite X, but I still like the ring of Extemporaneous X. Also, if I do finish 4 more levels, that will leave me only needing 7 more levels, about.

I have been having trouble taking screenshots, if I could get it to work, I would post some cool screenshots. Any tips? I am running Ferazel in OS X and shift+option+3 only works when I pause the game, which accomplishes nothing, but getting a screen capture of the Caps Lock pause screen. Even when I run in OS 9, I have this problem. Thoughts?

Well, you could use the Snapz Pro Demo. But I think there is a Function key that takes screenshots. You'd have to trim the shot later, though. I think it is F12, but I am probably wrong.

I think Snapz Pro is your only option. I'v tried all the Function key without any effect. According to the blurb Snapz Pro is shipped with Coldstone but I dont know if that's a registered version or unregistered. There's a copy on your Ferazel's wand CD

I don't really want to pay for Snapz, I won't use it that much, but I hate any demo with an expiration date. Personally, I feel that I should be able to take screen captures with the "world's greatest OS." No news is good news!

No so much so. I have not posted for four months, and that's about how long it's been since I really worked on Extemporaneous. Ouch. But I have become inspired again. I need to get ResCompare to work, aka Big Pain in the Behind, because I am biting the bullet and anding a lot of new graphics.

So I'm playin' Marathon with Aelph One, and I'm thinkin', "Man what a really kickin' game." Then I start to think, "Like what's makin' it such a rich game, ya know?" Then it hits be like a ton of bricks! "Man! It's the flippin' background story!" Yep, useless information which creates a world is what made so many great works of art marvelous. For further non-game examples, look to such great books as Dune and the Lord of the Rings. So then I come to the conclusion, "I could do this, man, I could do this!"

So I am working on adding chapter screens, which I intend to be journals and books from Ferazel's world adding depth and character to Extemporaneous. For a sliver of what to expect, chew on this:

Neat, eh? So that's one of the reason's why I must learn ResCompare, also it is crucial for Ketzerbrennung. As it stands I think I will also battle my rut by skipping past Ketzerbrennung, which is slowing me down, by dragging me into the quagmire of ResCompare and new graphics. On to... The Wall!
