I'm going to be leaving for awhile... I wonder how long it will be until I'm treated like a legendary hero like aschaaf was? Now, you are probably wondering why and/or where I'm going. I'm going... to insanity land!

I'm done with the !s... I'll still be around on IRC a bit though. Toodles.

I edited your message and didn't karma slap you. But your message was annoying.

aschaaf is not a hero, he gets karma slapped about every time he posts anymore because he goes out of his way to be a butt. Here's a warning, don't follow in his footsteps. There isn't a great deal of respect for him that I've noted. I'm giving you another chance because I rather think you didn't mean to be annoying.

If you feel you need a break or to leave completely, that's fine. Just don't leave on a bad note. We like you. I for one would like to keep liking you.

    • aschaaf was a good guy, but hardly ever a hero. It was his choice not to take advantage of his good reputation. I hope you don't take it the same way he did.

Wow. I guess I'm back. Many many many (insert insanely HUGE number of the word 'many' here) many many thanks, Zelda, for not karmaslapping me. The main reasons I'm back are...

3: None of you seem to be on irc at the same time as me.

      2: I'm insane.

      and...

1: I have way the (profanity of your choice here) too much spare time these days. I guess the time off I took was mostly to be able to...

3: Sit around like a lazy lump

2: Bash my head into the wall endlessly

1: Enjoy Final Fantasy 9 for a while. No comments about this game to me please. EVER!!...
      ...!!!

Well, I'm back. I'm kinda sad that it took 2 days for someone to reply, though.

    • Well, glad you're "back."

But as the old song goes, how can we miss you if you won't go away? 😉

    • Thok: We all "go away" occassionally, we just don't make a big deal about it. For instance, I'll be on the road for a couple of weeks in May, probably won't post a thing, and nobody will notice the difference. Keep up the good work in Corkmaster's story though.

As far as Aschaaf goes - in my opinion he is very typical of childish "single-mindedness". Whatever he is working on at the time is the best. He will probably eventually grow up a little and expand his reasoning to include grey as well as black and white. If not, he will consider himself to be right all the time and will either end up as an engineer or as a lawyer (or in politics and end up running the country.) He did do very good work on Andrew's world, and we shouldn't forget that, despite his failings now. Sometimes you just have to "let them go". (I am a little ticked that he didn't stick around to finish OBW, but it fits his personality type.)

Spamguy: You make me smile! Keep it going. (I love all your little comments, especially the ones on Just Chat.) You give me hope for the next generation! (You'd better be careful - you'll have me fighting Zelda over you.)

Zelda: Just kidding. (You know all my secrets.)

Which "little comments?" The one: "Shut the hell up, you twit," or the other: "I'm better than you, therefore you're wrong. Go away." 🙂

Now's your chance. 340 or so days until prom are left.

    • Spamguy: The one that springs to mind is in the discussion on what others call the American Revolutionary War. Someone posted that in their part of the USA they call it the "War Between the States" and you posted along the lines of "the American education system at work...". There are others that make me smile too though.

I'm sure Zelda is a better dancer than I, so I will cede (besides, the airfare to Texas is outrageous from where I live!).

Ohhh..prom! It's better than a wedding. You get to shop for a dress and make a big fuss and take oodles of pictures and you don't have to make any vows. It's a wedding without the commitment.

Dancing? It's so not the point, ML. 🙂

Spammie..go to your prom. It won't be hard for you to find a girl to go. They all want to. If you don't ask someone I'll have to fly to Texas and kick your butt.

Please let me apologize for that stupid post. The tempation was too hard too resist. I will never make anymore dumb rants like that here, I swear.

My posts here in the future, few as they will be, will be much more helpful, nice, and constructive than my last few.

I'm sorry, I think I lost it when reformating an iMac :-(.
If I find it, I'll let you know.

I only did part of its interface, and the effort that would be needed to finish the program would be better spent on using Ben's editor to make neat levels (or something else).
