    • memory error

when I try to get to the second level in a world that I'm making(in Ferazel, not the editor) it says it's out of memory, even when I give it 60 Megs. I think there was another topic about this, but I can't find it

    • Yep, this has been one of those frequently asked questions.

What you have forgotten to do is set your map nodes. Open your world file in ResEdit. What! You don't have ResEdit? Get ResEdit now! (url="http://"http://download.info.apple.com/Apple_Support_Area/Apple_Software_Updates/English-North_American/Macintosh/Utilities/ResEdit_2.1.3.sea.bin")http://download.info...t_2.1.3.sea.bin(/url) Go!

Now that we have that out of the way... open the world file in ResEdit. If there isn't a pict resource, open a world file that you already have. Paste the PICT resource from the other world file into your world file. Save.

Now in MASCOT select show world map. Next you select place map node. Place your map node (where level 1 is) and then a dialog box will pop up. Tell it that this node corisponds with level 1 and in the links node # feilds type the number of the levels that this level will open up to in the left hand column. Then you have to place the nodes for the other levels as well.

Bush thinks we were better off 8 years ago. My reaction was laughter. Vote GORE to keep moving forward!

    • It doesn't work :frown:  😕

    • Hmm, I'm not expalning it right. I know what's wrong (or at least I think I do). Could you send me the file? Or post it on the internet? I could fix it, send it back, with step by step instructions on what I did.

To clarify: This is when you enter the level exit field in a level and try to get to the world map to move onto the next level, right? Not at the world map loading the second level, or when you select new game from the main screen.

Today In Out Mock Elections, I voted for Gore. All I ask is that you do the same.

I can get to the world map, but after I move to Level 2 and hit enter, then the error happens. I'll attach my world to an e-mail. Thanks.

    • I just thought of something. What does the "Kind" field in the edit world node dialog box do. This could be the problem.

    • IT WORKS 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

I changed the kind to 1 for every node and it works 🙂

The only problem is now all the nodes look like the boss levels. Hmm...

    • Nevermind. It only works for a level I haven't finished yet. :frown:

    • Write following in the level exit info fields.
Write 0 (zero) in the info field for the "next" level
write -1 to not open any new levels. (used for exits at start of levels)
