      Hi everybody. I just wanted to let everybody know that I have finished the first draft of the script for my computer game: Wanderers. The script (which does not include sidequests, or npc dialogue) is about 172 pages long. Now that I've finished the first draft I can get to work on other aspects of the game, unitl my friends provide comments on the first draft.

      How are your games coming along? Glenn did you ever finish your game. That one screenshot of the character portrait with the dialogue box looked really good.

    • It includes only the dialogue for the FMV segments, and the dialogue that advances the story. If you have played the game Chrono Trigger, the main script for that is about 115 pages, and massive Xenogears is about 600 something pages so mine is rather on the shorter end.

      I had posted a section of the script a while back. The actual script is broken into four chapters, to help make implementing it easier, but there will not actually be any transition scenes saying chapter one, chapter two etc.

      I guess I can tell you a little about the story. It deals with Michael who is suffering from memory loss, whom many believe that he is the Child of Magic. Then there is Brahm, a faerie that dislikes humans in general, except for his adopted human sister Sophie. Circumstances force Brahm, Sophie, Michael and Talik (another faerie) to travel to the Wizard Council on the world of Trogan and the story expands out from there.

      I do not want to give to much away. There is a fair bit of character development.

      uhmmm, so far, so so this month. while i havnt been overly working on inner game elements since most of those are 75% done, i have started close up character art and logos and vehicles etc coupled with some story dialog ingame. i posted my logo to my site here ---> (url="http://"http://www.redknightentertainment.com/rkewerks/htmlrke/rkesoglogoevolution.html")http://www.redknight...oevolution.html(/url)

      so its nice getting to see my game take some character rather than "just another" anonymous shooter. a small morall boost i guess.

    • Cool logos DJ. Most of the dialogue will be spread out, thought there are a few nessecary clumps near the begining and the end of the game. It seems like a lot to absorb all at once, but it will be spaced out once the levels you traverse through are in place. So far I have over 14 different towns, villages and Fortresses to explore, and this does not include any of the dungeons (ok it does include one dungeon). I have more dungeons, caves and towers to explore, with an grand total of 30 + locations.

      It is going to be a big game.

      I'm hoping to limit the NPC's to just three different things to say depending on how far along you are in the game, but that might change.

    • Well, my games are coming along slowly but surely, my Asteroids clone almost finished. I may pick 5 or 6 beta testers from these boards, so keep your eyes peeled.

    • Legends is nearing completion, dispite some minor setbacks. I'm about 95% finished.

    • Moving Along. The Fall of Abodon is starting to take shape as more Ideas start to come into the mix. Moving into the second city map construction with tons of help from people. Magisterium is coming up soon too... 🙂

    • I'm doing my game based on England being attacked by goblins, some of the people that I know will be their in the game 🆒.
