DS decided to do a build & release of the game he had in development (just to see what would happen.) He chose the compress pictures option and told it to use his current folder to put the game in. The stand alone OS X game is there but now all the picture files used to build it are gone not just renamed with .png as the extension. Is there anyway to "unbuild" the game and retrieve the picture files? The game was not complete and DS wants to do more work on it. Any suggestions?

Holy whaa! You did what? No backup? Same folder? Um, I think you've kissed it goodbye. My deepest sympathies. Really. It took a lot of effort to build it. But I think it's gone, and we're hearing taps. I hope I'm wrong. Perhaps someone with language skills can help you and resuscitate.

oh man, yeah ive shot myself in the foot once in a while. sux. it may not help because the problem is past but if you go to (url="http://"http://www.silverkeeper.com/")http://www.silverkeeper.com/(/url) you can get free software that backs up anything you want, where you want it and its free. what i do is have it runs itself before my computer shutsdown and to say the least it has saved me from deleting files on accident or having older files i scrwed up roughly four times on my game project alone.
go there, grab it, its free to boot. and i hope you somehow get that problem solved or find a way on getting it back to normal without to many prblems.
