    • new tutorial, screenshots of my game and my games website

      also i posted a bunch of basic photoshop brushes ranging from small to large, soft and hard and also my photoshop gradient file which has a ton of gradients i made for a variety of things. these are at the same link above under tools. instructions how to install/use them included in .sit

      more to come, so far for tutorials i have in the works for future, making of a village house, a battle tank and how to color inked graphics in a comicbook kinda way(helpfull for cutscenes etc).

    • its not officially running yet, my friend is in the stages of getting animations from me and still working out the basics. i think it will run pretty fast as the graphics are insanely small, roughly twice as small in kilobytes as pog's character graphics. then you have the portion of the game with the strike team zoomed in but those should still be small. so in a week or so depending on how much crap we have to fix and redo cuz i screwed up, well see how a mockup level runs.

      I dig the graphics, unless large graphics are done really well, I really do prefer smaller graphics. The little units and vehicles really appeal to me. Great detail and maps! I can't wait to try it out, if you ever make a Demo version.

      Looks like THE BEST game in terms of graphics so far for Coldstone.

      Nice looking game, reminds me of Deimos Rising, my fingers bleed in anticipation.

    • lol thx for the encouragment guys, i know what you mean damnpeoples bout stuff getting in the way, drive me nuts because i have to work on the game when i dont feel like it and when i want to i usually cant. but it felt really good to put up the links and stuff, a bit of a release after doing a bunch of work. and yup samus i plan on making a demo and actually releasing it before the game ever comes out. i want the demo to be under ten megs, in which i could set up about 6 ftp mirrors for it. this link below has a list of what ill release as the game progresses and then is finally released.

      The screenshots look great, DJ, with one exception. The shadow angles are not consistant. This is particularly noticable in the 2nd shot where sun seems to be in southeast for everything except the tower and one building (lower right corner), where the sun is northeast. ~RD

      Find those areas you missed the first time around. You'll want to explore those hidden areas now made accessible with Spells Expander.

    • yeah i havnt worried about that yet, what i did is while making the game i made shadows for everything as it faces the bottom of the screen. if you notice any vehicle in which the front isnt facing down has its shadow off as do any guard towers whos fronts arent facing down also. this will be corrected as i make final animations for everything, basically the screenshots are the very 1st graphics my friend snagged to put in the game as we wanted to see what a level might look like. so in the future when im done with soldier graphics and done making the 2nd part of the game which is where you play a soldier, then ill start making final animations where you have vehicles that have moving shadows etc. thx for the comment!
