    • Does this new version solve the pbm of range attacking? 'cause in your previous tutorial, blocking the player in one square prevented him from damaging the ennemies even if all his weapons were declared as range weapon, whereas the ennemies could hit him... more annoying was the fact that using the mouse-click to attack an ennemie instead of the A button caused the game to freeze, and so I was forced to make the turn-base mode not "blocked" for players...
      does your new tutorial solve this ?
      (well... though I criticize a bit, your old tutorial still gave me a very good and perfeclty working turn-base mode 🙂 )

    • way back in april of 2002 i built a coldStone method, which i dubbed 3slot,( because it used an offensive,defensive and neutral position), you needed to move in order to select your position, and based on where you stood you'd get an offensive/defensive modifier added to your stats...ie. you stand in the back your attack goes down but your defense rises, front defense down/attack up,neutral no change. I adapted a version for CGE, called it TurnBased Mad
      (because everyone said it couldn't be done!!! : : ominous bellowing laughter: : )
      and tested it out, it worked and i began to elaborate....and somewhere along the line between aapril to November things got murky.

      anyhow...this is adapted from that except;
      TurnBase P is watered down for CGE due to the fact that it makes simple tasks hard when you go against the grain
      there's only 2 positions
      instead of lowered defense in the offensive position, you simply don't get the defense bonus
      and in the defensive position you may not attack, you may only defend.

      That said. The weapon issue has been resolved, the range issue has beeen resolved,
      i left very specific instructions on how to make a working spell loaded range weapon suitable for this method.

      however i'd be careful about splicing it into your current game. DANGER ! DANGER KAMASHIN, DANGER !

      Also this isn't a rewrite of the former, i started a completely new file.

    • okay... this must be the part I didn t fully understood in your tutorial... so i skipped the spell method... alright... well... thnks for the warning 🙂 though I won t change the way my turn-base mode works... I found it a bit awkward to be able to move around while it's your turn, but I think it's ok... I quite like the way it is right now 🙂
