    • the .dat file

i need help with a little problem - kinda...

I just compiled a demo release of my small game with coldstone and I noticed that the quicktime movies, sound effects, and the mp3s where not put into the .dat file - is there a way to change this? I'd like (in future games) to keep my sound effects and the ending cinematics hidden from the player, so as to not ruin the story...

As far as I know, the movies, sound, and music folders have to be seperate from the .dat file.

Why not just make the folder they're contained in invisible.

You might be able to ResEdit the movie, sound, and music folders into invisible files. Don't know if CS would still recognize it, though.

      Edit: Damn you, Bean! 😛

    • May or may not be the correct solution, but Filestorm may do it. I 'think' it makes a 'package'. While the files are still visible, you have to right click on them and select show contents to see them. Of course, anyone familiar with Coldstone would know that there are movies and other such stuff to be found anyway. Or not.

    • damn - doesn't look to good - I'll try that invisible trick and see...

      Thanks for the help though!
