You'll need an image editing program (GraphicConverter, Photoshop, the GIMP, SuperPaint, etc). You need to change the background color of the image to white (because that's the color Coldstone uses for transparency) and split each frame of each animation off into a separate file. You can then drop those files into your (GameName):Pictures:(AnimationName) folder and place them into animations within Coldstone.

define blur.
do you mean he's out of focus, like if you scaled him by 200%?
Or is he moving too fast?
Or do you mean that a blur which absolutely does not resemble the frames you picked out is in his stead?

Sounds to me like maybe there's a problem with the graphics file(s). Check its color depth - it needs to be <snip> 16-bit (aka thousands of colors) to work properly in Coldstone.
(edit - Unknown is right - Coldstone does not support 8-bit graphics.)

Ack! Unknown, you're exactly right - Coldstone does not support 8-bit indexed color. I'm not sure what I was flashing back to when I thought 8-bit was an option.
Therefore, 16-bit color is optimal at this point. 32-bit color should be supported, but there's currently a Coldstone bug such that 32-bit color images apparently get displayed in-game as if they were 16-bit.
